The developmental order of things…
Walking generally occurs before talking. Why? – It just seems more kids walk before they talk as development unfolds. Part of the reason for this may be the head neck control needed for ambulation puts the mouth in a better position physically to talk.

When formulating speech goals – pay attention to the mouth- my goal might not be developmentally what is going to unfold next. always pay attention to where the mouth actually is for clues what’s next. I’m thinking z but maybe the kid is all about the k sound
